The 50th anniversary of the Pauline Redmond Coggs Foundation’s Debutante Cotillion was celebrated on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Baird Center, in downtown Milwaukee. It was the return of this significant community event since the pandemic. The first Debutante Cotillion was held in 1974, sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Epsilon Kappa Omega Chapter. The foundation took over sponsorship of the cotillion in 1999.
The 50th anniversary celebrated the legacy of the past, present, and vision for the future. More than 700 patrons supported this anticipated affair.
Congratulations to the 13 debutantes who participated in this golden anniversary. The young ladies who took part in this year’s contest are Miss Debutante 2024 Brakiah Yasmina Evans (right photo); 1st runner-up Janii Yvette Spiekermann; 2nd runner-up Mekenzi Joelle Hendriex; 3rd runner-up Asha Tate Hagopian; debutantes Wy’Yana Nevaeh Renee Adams, Angel Moore, Jayda Aaliyah Neveah Cole, Jordan Simone Davis, Azaria Nicole Marie Giboney, Terrhyon Alyce Pristine McBride, Tomi Lynette Myles, Peyton Nichole Washington, and Gabrielle Alexa Williams.
