MPS Foundation hosts ‘2nd Annual Alumni Awards Dinner’

On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, Milwaukee Public Schools Foundation hosted its “2nd Annual Alumni Awards Dinner” at the Italian Conference Center, 631 E. Chicago St. Milwaukee Public Schools alumni strengthen our city and make a difference in our world every day. The MPS Foundation took the opportunity to recognize 10 outstanding alumni at the event.

Pictured are the 10 honorees (back row, from left): Royal Capital Group President and CEO Kevin Newell, Custer High School; Keith Stanley who accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award for the late Vel Phillips, North Division High School; Herb Kohl Philanthropies Director of Charitable Giving JoAnne Anton, who accepted the Corporate Partner Award for Herb Kohl, Washington High School; Bay Bank President and CEO Jeff Bowman, Bradly Tech High School; Zilber Ltd Executive Vice President John Kersey, John Marshall High School; (front row, from left) Cardinal Stritch University Vice President Tonya Mantilla, Rufus King High School; retired MPS Foundation Executive Director and National Education Leader Ann Mc- Clain Terrell, Riverside University High School; Alphaieus Jarreau, who accepted the Lifetime Achievement award on behalf of his late brother, jazz singer, Al Jarreau, Lincoln High School; MPS Regional Superintendent Jennifer Smith, Rufus King High School; and Annette Robertson, the daughter of the late Joan Robertson who received the Honorary Alumni Award for her foundation’s continued generosity to MPS.
