The 2016 baseball season got underway, with the unofficial kick-off to the season, Brewers On Deck. The yearly winter fan festival that bridges the gap between the Wisconsin winter and Spring Training, and it took place on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Wisconsin Center in downtown Milwaukee.
A host of Brewers players as well as coaches, alumni, front office executives and broadcasters were in attendance for the Brewers annual fan festival. With autographs, photo opportunities, baseball clinics, interactive games and more, Brewers On Deck features something for the entire family!
Fans dressed in their best Brewers gear said they’re excited for the upcoming Milwaukee Brewers’ 2016 season. Many said they’re excited for Spring Training to begin, but also, for an opportunity to get up close and personal with players and coaches. Said Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger, “The players actually like it.” During this unofficial kickoff to the Brewers season, fans got a sneak peek at some of the newest promotions.
“We have fan giveaways including a Uecker alarm clock. We have T-shirts for June, July and August so every fan gets a free T-shirt with a different design,” Schlesinger said.
