The homegoing service for legendary local radio DJ and personality Ernie G. Mitchell was held on Friday June 25, 2021, at Christ the King Baptist Church located at 7750 N. 60th Street, Milwaukee WI. Known on air as “Ernie G,” for more than 40 years, he started with WAWA AM Radio and later continued with WMCS 1290 AM Talk Radio. Family, friends and local leaders were on hand to say their final farewells. Ernie was also a former Black Excellence honoree for Media.
