
On Thursday, July 14, 2002, The City of Milwaukee Office of Workforce Development hosted “Drive-Thru Job Fairs” on Milwaukee’s North, Northwest and South Sides for local job and skill seekers looking for immediate employment opportunities. The North Side job fair took place at Employ Milwaukee, 2342 N. 27th St.; the Northwest side fair took place at Ross Innovative Employment Solutions, 7800 W. Brown Deer Rd., and the South Side job fair took place at Basilica of St. Josaphat, 2333 S. 6th St. The job fairs focused on neighborhoods within the 9th, 12th and 15th Aldemanic Districts, all of which have been hit hard by COVID-19. The job fairs were sponsored by Milwaukee Common Council, job fDirectConnect- MKE, Northwest Side CDC, State Department of Workforce Development, Job Center of Wisconsin, Employ Milwaukee, ROSS Innovative Employment Solutions, the Milwaukee Urban League, Milwaukee Public Schools, UMOS, Inc., and the City of Milwaukee.
