On Thursday, February 21, 2019, the Clinical and Translation Science Institute (CTSI) of Southeast Wisconsin, in partnership with the Herzfeld Foundation and Pastors United, hosted their 2019 Spring Pastoral Meeting at the Medical College of Wisconsin Kerrigan Auditorium, 8701 Watertown Plank Road. The purpose of the meeting was to get local pastors on board with helping to promote early learning for Milwaukee’s youth with the new Vroom app.
Vroom is a set of tools and resources from the Bezos Family Foundation designed to inspire families to turn everyday moments into “brain building moments” by layering activities that are essential to healthy brain development onto existing routines. Pictured at the pledge signing are Child Advancement Network/Vroom Initiative Program Director Synovia Moss; Pastors United President Reverend Greg Lewis; Medical College of Wisconsin Senior Associate Dean and CTSI Director Dr. Reza Shaker, MD; and CTSI Executive Director Dr. Doriel Ward.
