Brown Deer High School 11th grader to participate in special 7-week program at Harvard University

Loren Muwonge, who will be entering the 11th grade at Brown Deer High School in September 2022, departed Milwaukee to attend a 7-week, residential, secondary college chemistry and environmental studies program for high school students at Harvard University on June 17, 2022. Sponsors include The Milwaukee Times Weekly Newspaper Printing & Publishing Company, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Epsilon Kappa Omega and Mu Beta Chapters, Education Foundation of Brown Deer, Members of The Links, Inc. Cream City (WI) Chapter, NPHC Milwaukee Alumnae Chapter, various community members, Clarence Parrish Foundation/Omega Psi Phi, Kappa Phi Omega Chapter, Royal Capital Group LLC, Members of TLOD Milwaukee Chapter, and Black Women 50+ Magazine. Upon completion of the program, Loren will earn eight college credits. She said she hopes to return to Harvard as an undergraduate after completing high school.
