Family-Friendly New Year’s Eve at The Domes
MILWAUKEE (Dec. 1, 2016) – The public is invited to the New Year’s Eve Family Celebration at The
Domes, Dec. 31, from 6–9 p.m., with 500 balloons dropping from the Annex ceiling at 9 p.m. Friends of
The Domes, Tri City National Bank, and Habush Habush & Rottier Charitable Funds are sponsoring this
year’s event. The Mitchell Park Domes is located at 524 S. Layton Blvd.
The family-friendly event features a wide variety of entertainment. In an interactive show, the Garlic
Mustard Pickers will perform traditional acoustical music from Gaelic-speaking countries, including
Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. Rick Allen will offer a magic show with a blend of humor. Popular
singer/storyteller David Drake will present Gather the Family, a collection of songs that bring families
together to give thanks for each other. Three light shows will be presented throughout the evening, and
adding extra energy to the night will be a DJ dance party, fire dancing, and a drum circle. Face painting,
balloon sculpting, and children’s crafts will round out the event.
Activities, party favors, give-aways, exploring The Domes, and viewing Not a Creature Was Stirring, the
holiday floral show, are included in the special-event admission. Food and beverages by Zilli’s
Hospitality Group will be available for purchase.
For this special fundraising event, admission is $15 for adults, $5 for youths age 3-17, and free for
children age 2 and under. Advance admission may be purchased online at milwaukeedomes.org or in The
Domes gift shop. Proceeds will support the educational programs and projects at The Domes.
