The 2018-19 school year will be here before you know it! To celebrate, join us on Aug. 25 for the 11th annual Run Back to School race at Wick Playfield for a 5K run or a 1.5-mile walk.

Date: Saturday, Aug. 25 Time: 9 a.m. (Walk-up registration runs from 7:30-8:30 a.m. on race day) Free parking Kids’ Price: $5 (17 and under) Adults’ Price: $15
Make sure you sign up early! Adult ticket prices increase from $10 to $15 after Aug. 13. Also, if you are interested in registering a group, please email RBTS@MilwaukeeRecreation.net or call (414) 475-8811. We want every school represented at the 2018 Run Back to School!
Run Back to School also has a school mascot race, entertainment and refreshments, exhibit booths with healthy resources, and activities for kids. T-shirts and race bags will be given out to all participants.
Every year, the run continues to bring together hundreds of Milwaukeeans from countless communities who are dedicated to supporting Milwaukee Public Schools.
“The money goes to [supporting] extra-curricular activities, athletics, the district, youth sports programming, and grants for team uniforms. We can also scholarship students [who] can’t afford the entry fee to be on an athletic team,” Milwaukee Recreation senior director Lynn Greb said.
