North Division High School cuts ribbon on new welding program to open career doors for technical and trade students

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Monday, April 27, 2015 announcing a vocational program in the technical and trades field. Welding classes will be available to students at North Division High School. North Division is one of the first urban high school in Milwaukee offering welding instructions .This program is a collaborative partnership with Milwaukee Area Technical College and Milwaukee Public Schools. Pictured with North Division students are Principal Stanley McWilliams, welding instructor Darrel Iwanski, Milwaukee school board director Annie Woodard, Reverend Greg Lewis, Mac Weddle, North Division Alumni Chapter president Linda Walsh, Don Jackson, John McCottell, Saleem El-Amin, Jim Copeland, Annie Smith. North Division also offers classes in the health field to students who want to become certified nursing assistants.
