Milwaukee-King forward William Whorton will play college basketball next season at South Dakota State

Congratulations to the Rufus King Generals’ basketball star William Whorton signed a letter of intent to south Dakota State for a four year basketball scholarship on November 4, 2022. William is 6’9, and averaged 16 points per game for King last season, scoring 20 points or more in eight different games. William also had Division I scholarship offers from Central Michigan, SIU-Edwardsville and Tennessee State.

William is the son of Anthony Whorton, Sr. and Jocelyn K. Whorton; and grandson of Doris and Patric Whorton, Sr. and Beverly Huff and Minister William Harrell.
