On Sunday, March 3, 2016 PEARLS for Teen Girls, Inc., held their “8th Annual Women Inspired to Lead,” at the Pfister Hotel. The annual event serves as a fundraiser and an inspirational evening for the young women of the PEARLS program. The highlight of the evening was a panel of amazing, professional women leaders, who shared their stories with the girls and other invited guests. This event could not have been possible without the support of BMO Harris, Brewers Community Foundation, Inc., and Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Pictured at the event are (left photo, from left) P3 Development Group managing partner Genyne Edwards; Milwaukee Public Schools superintendent Dr. Darienne Driver; Aurora Health Care chief diversity and inclusion officers and Aurora Health Care Foundation president Gristy Garcia-Thomas; Fix Development president and entrepreneur Juli Kaufmann; We Energies vice president local affairs Thelma Sias;
PEARLS for Teen Girls executive director Gerry Howze; PEARLS alumna and Milwaukee School of Engineering student Sahara Aden; United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County vice president-community impact Nicole Angresano; and (right photo) many of the current girls who participate in the PEARLS program.
