On Sunday, September 11, 2016, The Milwaukee Exposure and
Explorer Project (MEEP) hosted its 7th Annual Luncheon.
MEEP was founded in the summer of 2009 by former Milwaukee
Public School teachers Lilly Simmons, Erma Smith, and Betty
Rodgers. The founders recognized the need for urban children to
be exposed to the possibilities and opportunities of a variety of
careers. They also saw the need for additional support and solicited
involvement from individuals who had an interest in their vision.
Therefore, the event celebrates the founding of MEEP; and
also serves to thank those that have supported the organization.
