Every Thursday in June from 12-1 p.m., members of Bethesda Baptist Church offer free drive-thru intercessory prayers to the public in the church parking lot, 2909 North 20th Street. Rev. Cleavon Williams said drive-thru prayers for the public were a long-time tradition at Bethesda which he resumed after accepting a call to be pastor at Bethesda about three years ago. He said an average of about 20 cars have been stopping for prayers at the midway point of “drive-thru prayer month” this year. “All are welcome,” he added.
