Announcement of Homegoing services for the Rev. Dr. Garry B. Levy

August 26, 2021

It is with a heavy heart that the Levy family and the congregation of True Love Missionary Baptist Church announce the passing of their pastor the Rev. Dr. Garry B. Levey, on August 21, 2021.

On April 1, 2006, Reverend Dr. Garry Levy became the proud pastor of True Love Missionary Baptist Church in Milwaukee Wisconsin. A God-fearing man of faith, integrity, and humility, Pastor Levy believed that only what we do for Christ will last. Through much prayer, guidance of the Holy Spirit, and building trusting relationships, Pastor Levy was a servant- leader of the ministry.

Dr. Levy was a member of the Damascus Missionary Baptist Church in Milwaukee, under the pastoral guidance of Reverend Dr. Ellis Wilkins. Dr. Levy completed a bachelor of arts in Theology, a master’s of Divinity in Urban Ministry, and earned Doctor of Divinity – Humanitarian Services. He was a powerful preacher and teacher.

Pastor and his wife, Dr. Dessie Levy have two daughters, one son and seven grandchildren. Pastor and First Lady Levy are a loving Christian (born again) couple, and willing workers of the church.
