Maryland Governor, Wes Moore visits Milwaukee to support David Crowley at Gee’s Clippers

Crowley also receives endorsement from former President Barack Obama

On Friday, October 9, 2026, Maryland Governor Wes Moore traveled to Milwaukee on a campaign tour for Democratic gubernatorial candidate and Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley. Governor Moore and David Crowley held a campaign event at Gee’s Clippers Barbershop for their Milwaukee stop. Special guests included U.S. Representative Gwen Moore, Isaiah Martin, and other local officials.

During the event, Moore highlighted Crowley’s platform on child poverty, economic development, public safety, and long-term community investments—drawing comparisons to his own work in Maryland. The appearance at Gee’s Clippers was part of a larger multi-city Wisconsin swing on October 9 that also included visits to Racine, Kenosha, and Beloit.

Just a day earlier on Thursday, October 8, 2026, former President Barack Obama endorsed gubernatorial candidate Crowley in the race in a video posted to Obama’s social media.
