On Wednesday, September 25, 2019, the Historic King Drive BID #8 hosted its annual meeting at the Jewels Caribbean Restaurant, 2230 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss BID #8’s plans for the King Drive business district in 2020. The event was also a chance for business and community leaders to network and develop new relationships. There was also fine food provided by Jewels Caribbean Restaurant and plenty of entertainment.

During the meeting Historic King Drive BID #8 Executive Director Deshea Agee, presented a check for $5,000 to America’s Black Holocaust Museum’s new President and CEO Dr. Robert M. Davis. The Black Holocaust Museum is set to open in its new location at 401 W. North Ave. within the near future.
