Willodine H . Carter

March 3, 2016

Willodine H . Carter was born on March 3, 1943 in Jasper Alabama. She began her formal
education at Walker County Training School before moving to Milwaukee with her parents at the
age of 11. Willa, as she was affectionately known to family and friends, completed her elementary
education at Lloyd Street School here in Milwaukee and graduated from Riverside High School. She
attended and graduated from Spencerian Business College. Willa continued taking appropriate business
courses to improve her skills throughout her working life by taking selected business courses at
Milwaukee Institute of Technology, now Milwaukee Area Technical College.
