Rev. Dr. Gary Levy, pastor, and the congregation of True Love Missionary Baptist Church, paused April 26, 2015 to observe their church’s 35th anniversary, which was founded as a Mission in the basement of the home of Pastor Rudolph and First Lady Aretha McCullar located at 1816 W. Cherry Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A few months later, True Love was organized as a church at 210 W. Keefe Avenue by Rev. Dr. Louis Beauchamp – Pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and President of the Wisconsin General Baptist State Convention of Wisconsin, Inc. in 1980. The 35th Anniversary theme was: “…upon this rock I will build My church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew16:18). Rev. Dr. Archie Ivy (standing at podium) of New Hope Baptist Church preached the Anniversary Message, saying: “…the function of the church is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ who is the founder of the church.”
