James Beckum, who founded the Beckum-Stapleton Little League in 1964, has passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at age 95. Beckum played in the Negro Leagues for the St. Louis Stars in the 1950s. At the ripe age of 83, James Beckum, one of the founders of the Beckum-Stapleton Little League began 49 years ago, is no stranger to the sport of baseball.
