The Art of Health, Inc., is presenting a Doll Art exhibit at the Wisconsin African American Women’s Center on Saturday, July 17, 2021, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public. The exhibit is called “Dolls From Around the World” and will feature many types of dolls from various cultural groups. Several of the dolls displayed are collector’s items as well as dolls handcrafted by various artists, that are available for purchase. Accompanying this is a special event featuring a “Young Ladies Tea”. The theme is called, “Building Healthy Attitudes for Young Ladies”. This nurturing event will feature a presentation, the Mad Movement Dance Team and well-known ventriloquist act Mike and Woody. It is sure to be an exciting program for everyone – mothers, caregivers, fathers, grandmothers, and groups of friends. Guests will enjoy various types of teas, sandwiches, and delicious treats, even caramel cake from our very own Ms. McCoy. The cost for this activity is $10. This is a dressy affair for young ladies, and they are invited to bring their doll and participate in the promenade. This event is sponsored by the Bader Philanthropies, Wisconsin African American Women’s Center, The Salvation Army and the Art of Health, Inc.
