2020 Louvenia Johnson Scholarship Recipient
London Bates is the perfect person to get a group project rolling. Her Advanced Placement language and composition teacher at Golda Meir High School describes London as a “perceptive, sharp, quick individual with a high aptitude for critical thinking.” In addition to earning a cumulative grade point average of 3.90, London has been a member of the PEOPLE pre-college enrichment program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison receiving post-secondary planning advice, preparation for the ACT exam, and completing college admission and scholarship applications. At Golda Meir, London served on the Senior Senate, was a member of the National Honor Society and served as the class historian.
