Milwaukee Urban League hosts daughters of the civil rights movement at ‘Praying With Their Feet’ discussion panel

On Sunday, March 4, 2018, the Milwaukee Urban League along with the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center hosted “Praying With Their Feet” at Pabst Theater, 144 East Wells Street. The panel discussion entitled “Daughters of the Civil Rights Movement” featured Bernice King, daughter of civil rights leaders Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King, and Susannah Heschel, daughter of rabbi and civil rights leader Abraham Joshua Heschel. They discussed “Leadership, Legacy and Service” and how they have continued the work of their famous families with host, WUWM’s Bonnie North and a live audience. Pictured at the event are (from left) The Sias Group CEO Thelma Sias; The King Center Chief Executive Officer Bernice King; Milwaukee Urban League President and CEO Dr. Eve Hall; Manpower Group Senior Managing Counsel Noah A. Fenceroy; Dartmouth College Faculty Director Susannah Heschel; and UWM student Cam’Ron Bogan.
