Calling MPS juniors: Start your college journey now! Applications are open to enroll in college classes during your senior year. Apply by May 29!
Current juniors can now apply to take free college courses next school year through the M3 Early College program. Students can take math, English, and educational psychology classes at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) and the University of Wisconsin– Milwaukee (UWM) to earn up to 19 college credits. These classes also count toward high school graduation requirements.
To apply, students must be on track to graduate and qualify for early release during their senior year (including students with disabilities and English language learners). UWM and MATC recommend a 2.50 GPA (for the most recent semester OR cumulative), and ACT scores of 17–18 in English and 20 in mathematics. If you are unsure if you qualify, please apply at https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/d2940ec54ec84857bba7e866928e2b10, so you can be considered.
Participants will be able to continue classes at their high school and participate in extra- curricular activities such as prom, clubs, and sports, and will be eligible for their school’s graduation ceremony. For more information, call 414-475-8873 or email sokolojd@milwaukee.k12.wi.us.
