On Sunday, November 10, 2019, the North Central Service Club, Inc. (NCSC) hosted their Annual Fall Fashion Show and Luncheon at the Four Points by Sheraton Milwaukee North, 8900 North Kildeer Court. The luncheon featured a silent auction and a fashion show, which showcased fashions provided by Gg Collections Boutique, 5201 West North Ave. and AJ Ugent Furs, 8333 W. Capitol Dr.
The North Central Service Club was founded by Marlene Narcisse Johnson and Mildred Harpole (inset), who recognized the need for African American women to become involved in community service within the central city; and to provide a reservoir of leadership to effect positive change. The organization aims to develop civic, educational, social, and cultural programs which can improve the quality of life for central city women.
Co-founder and local community leader Mildred Harpole unfortunately passed away a few weeks prior to the event, which was one of Mildred’s favorites. The NCSC honored her with flowers at her seat and offered a somber moment of prayer.

“We Will Miss You Mildred!”
