The Friendship Club held its semi-annual anniversary banquet on Saturday, April 20, 2019. The Friendship Club is the first African American operated sobriety club in Milwaukee. The Friendship Club is located on 2245 West Fond Du Lac Ave. and serves hundreds of recovering people and their families in the community. Dr. Shirley Moutry, a retired administrator with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction was the keynote speaker. Moutry presented a powerful and spiritual message to the audience which focused on “Building A Community.”
Friendship Incorporated, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to the efforts of providing social, recreational and educational activities to the recovering alcoholic/addict, his/her family, friends and others interested in the recovery process.
