Joyce Hall honored by MPS Board of Directors for Excellence in Education

On Thursday, October 25, 2018, the Milwaukee Public School (MPS) Board of Directors honored former MPS teacher Joyce A. Hall with the Excellence in Education Award at their monthly board meeting. Ms. Hall worked for MPS for more than 36 years as a full time reading resource teacher at Henry L. Palmer School, now George Washington Carver Academy. She has also volunteered for the past 24 years as a reading tutor assisting 8 to 10 students, one on one, on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Ms. Hall is also a Milwaukee Times 2011 Black Excellence honoree and the proud mother of Milwaukee Urban League President and CEO, Dr. Eve Hall.
