On Monday, April 2, 2018, The Milwaukee Brewers celebrated their home opener of the 2018 baseball season. Despite the chilly conditions for tailgating, it did not dampen the spirits of a full house at Miller Park. Opening day both inside and outside the stadium marked the ceremonial start of spring in the upper Midwest, whether or not the weather wanted to cooperate.
Dan and Mike Attanasio (upper left photo), sons of Brewers owners Mark and Debbie Attanasio, sang the national anthem. They carried on the tradition started by their late grandfather, Joe Attanasio, who sang the anthem on Opening Day from the time that the Attanasio family purchased the team.
The fans were also introduced to the 2018 Brewers team, including Jeremy Jeffress (lower left photo) seen high-fiving his fellow Brewers coaches and teammates.
The first pitch of the season was thrown out by Wisconsin Badgers tight end Troy Fumagalli (lower right photo) with members of the Wisconsin Badgers football team, including head coach Paul Chryst, The Badgers football program set a school record with 13 wins this past season, capped by an Orange Bowl victory.
