    MPS Summer Playground Program Kickoff

    Mon., June 20th, 10am-5pm in Various Parks: Milwaukee Recreation is Now Playing Everywhere! Free summer playgrounds will open Monday through Friday with special activities and some meals.

    Feed the Kids Kickoff

    Mon., June 20th, 12-1pm, in Red Arrow Park: A summer meal program designed to meet the needs of hungry children in Milwaukee’s poorest neighborhoods by providing them a nutritious meal during the summer months. The Salvation Army vans bring lunches to neighborhoods, parks and street corners.

    The Occasional Artist Series – Opening Reception

    Fri., June 24th, 5-8pm, at the North Point Lighthouse in Lake Park: The Occasional Artist Series starts with Greater Milwaukee Committee President, Julia Taylor, debuting her selection of Lake Park-inspired watercolor paintings. A book of her watercolors, along with writings by park lovers will also be for sale.
