Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC held its monthly Saturday forum on Black Male Incarceration on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Center Street Library. The speakers focused on discrimination, disenfranchisement, break-up of families and misgivings of truth in sentencing. It was noted at the forum, Wisconsin has the highest black male incarceration population in the United States. Mary Glass, a community activist and businesswoman, assembled four community leaders to share information about the incarceration problem, which has plagued Milwaukee’s central city. Presenters included: La’Frisko Lewis, UW-Milwaukee student; Solana Patterson-Ramos, political and community advocate; C. Terrance Anderson, Planner, Southeastern WI Regional Planning Commission and Brad Tenin, Admission Officer at Bryant Stratton College.
